Ledrue Williams was born July 29, 1941 in Kansas City, Mo. to Farmon and Rowena Williams. He went to Kansas City, Missouri Public School System. He retired from the Laundry Industries in 1995.
Ledrue gave his life to Christ at an early age. He was a member at Queen Esther Holy Temple and he later became a member at Christ Tabernacle. Ledrue was a Pastor at Starlight Non-Denominational Ministry. In 2008 he graduated with his Doctorate Degree in Pastoral TheoIogy from Faith Bible College in 2008, he also was ordained to an Apostle the same year. In 2014 he became Co-founder with his wife Diann at Soar Ministries. Ledrue preached and taught in the gospel ministry for 47 years. He also sang with the Southern Travelers, Bluestar Harmonizers, and the Mighty Echoes of Joy.
Ledrue Williams at the age of 82, returned to his heavenly home on January 4, 2024, after a long battle of illness. His devotion to his wife and her devotion to him, as well as his firm belief in God gave him strength to cope with his struggle and ultimately gave him peace.
Ledrue was an educator at heart. He was kind and soft spoken, he always had time to answer a question or solve a problem no matter how big or small. He made a difference in everyone’s life that crossed his path. He was always encourager and always had words of wisdom to share, and will be dearly missed by his loved ones who have come together to celebrate the fact that he is at peace with his creator.
He is predecec in death by his parents, Farmon and Rowena Williams; 10 brothers, 8 sisters, and stepson, Duante' Thomas, Sr.
Ledrue is survived by his wife Diann of 21 years, his children Ledrue (Laurie) Williams; Tuluara (Jeff) Etheridge; Marlowe Williams; Genova (Harvey) Turner; 24 grandchildren, 35 great grandchildren, and 2 great great grandchildren.
He raised 5 other children Angela, Willie, Brigitte, Sandra, La Sonji Turner; 20 grandchildren and 42 great grandchildren. 2 Spiritual daughters, Janessa Mills, ElFreida Davis, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
