Leeanna Williams

Leeanna (Sisterbaby) Williams was born on December 30, 1931 in Vicksburg, Mississippi to Daisy Lee Tucker and Simon Smith, Sr. Leeanna accepted Christ at an early age and was a member of Mt. Hebron Baptist Church in Garland, TX. In 1962, she married the late James Williams (US Army Veteran). No children were born from that union. Prior to Leeanna's marriage she had the most precious gift, Bernice. She was a devoted mother, daughter, sister, and aunt. She enjoyed spending time with her family, traveling, shopping, and she loved her friends at the Senior Citizens facility. Leeanna's life joy was babysitting children. She was always ready and willing to add peace of mind to parents, by providing patience and kindness, and a loving environment in her home for so many children. Leeanna was called to eternal rest on August 22, 2016. She will be missed by all who knew her. Leeanna leaves to cherish her memory a loving daughter Bernice Parker, Berlee; sister, Anderson and James; brothers, preceded in death were two other brothers, Simon Jr., (Doc) and Abraham. She is survived by her grandchildren Briona, and Bryce, and great grandchildren, and a host of beloved relatives and friends. Memorial service will be held on Saturday, September 3, 2016 at 11:00am at the St. John AME Church, 3501 E. Meyer Blvd., KCMO. Visitation will be held from 9:00-11:00.
