Lennie Jones

Lennie Mae Maxine Jones passed away on December 23rd, 2022.  She was born on April 11, 1952 to Hollis Simms and James Jones Sr. in Kansas City, Missouri.  She grew up in Kansas City and earned her high school diploma from Central High School and went on to earn a two-year certificate in computers.  She worked for many years at Midland Metal Manufacturing Company until her health prevented her from working a fulltime job anymore.  She then became a fulltime exceptional Nana to all her beautiful grandchildren who were very near to her heart!

She is preceded in death by her beloved daughter, Denise Jones Murray, her parents (Hollis Simms and James Jones Sr.), brother Jimmy Jones, sisters Geraldine Whitmire and Norma Jean Whitmire.  She is survived by her children Shanitra Jones Barnes (Anthony), Johnny Jones, step-son Reggie Thomas (Timothy), son in law David Murray, sisters ForestIne Taylor and Sarah Redmond; her beloved nieces and nephews, a host of beloved grandchildren, a host of cousins, dear lifelong friends who became family, and other relatives who loved her, and all miss her dearly.
