Leo Williams, passed away on October 11, 2021, at home in Kansas City, MO. She was born on, October 24, 1931, in Kiblah, AR to Nylie and Frankie Mathis. She grew up in Kiblah, AR and graduated from Kiblah High School.
She worked for Standard Oil as a Data Entry Supervisor for 25 years. On May 27, 1950, she was united in holy matrimony to, Eugene Williams in Miller County, AR. They were happily married for 72 years.
Leo loved to read and cook. On, April 1, 1981, she joined the Palestine Missionary Baptist Church of Jesus Christ under the leadership of the late Pastor Earl Abel. She was a member of the Ladies Chorus, Solis Committee, Women’s Missionary Group, and she enjoyed going to nursing homes each month where she and other members would pray and sing to the residents.
She was preceded in death by her parents Nylie and Frankie Mathis; sister, Cobell Henry; and grandson, Eugene D. Williams.
She is survived by her husband, Eugene Williams; daughter, Charlotte L. Williams; son, Nylie E. Williams; grandchildren, Michelle Brown, Nicole Williams, Tiffani Williams, Neetra Williams, and Phillip Williams; 9 great-grandchildren; and 25 great great-children.
