Listen to Obituary

Leo Asad Woodruff was born April 6, 2001 to James Woodruff and Frances Armato, at St. Joseph Medical Center in Kansas City, MO. Leo attended Paseo Baptist Learning Center, and it was during his years there where he was reborn again. He went on and attended The Ewing Marion Kauffman School and later Raytown South High School. He accelerated academically and his goal was to attend the Airforce Academy and ultimately become a fighter pilot. Leo was involved with the debate team and loved to swim and play football. Leo grew into a fine young man that anyone could count on. You would often see him helping his neighbors with fixing their electronics, you might see him in the parking lot helping someone change their tire, or you might over here him telling a joke. Leo was a giver and even though he was taken from his earthly home he was able to give the gift of life to four individuals, and that is what we will celebrate. His heart went to a 63 year old man, his liver went to a 50 year old man, his pancreas and kidney went to a 48 year old man, and his other kidney went to a 26 year old man.) He leaves to cherish his loving memories: father, James Woodruff (Dorice); mother, Frances Armato; two sisters, Jamisha Cooper and Jiovanna Woodruff; brother, James O. Woodruff, III. He loved his siblings very much and would often play the role of a big brother instead of being a little brother. Leo also leves two nieces, La’Rya and Livia Cooper; a nephew Larry Cooper Jr., along with host of other relatives and friends. Leo will never be forgotten he will always live in our hearts and memories. Just remember every smile you give someone or whenever someone smiles at you just know that is God and Leo’s is smiling back at us all.
