Leona Treadwell

Leona Mae Treadwell passed away August 1, 2021, at North Kansas City Hospital in Kansas City, Missouri.

Leona was born November 18, 1958, in Kansas City, Kansas to Leon Fritz and Mary Elizabeth Fritz, She grew up in Kansas City, Missouri and went to Manual High School. She was employed by FEMA, Jackson County Courthouse and later employed by Jackson County Sheriff’s Department.

OUR mother was extremely illuminating soul. She was feisty with a heart of gold. She was a bright smile in the room who much often cussed but loved just as much. She was all that.

Leona is preceded in death by her parents, Mary E. Fritz and Leon Fritz; two brothers, Jerome Fritz and Clifton E. Hill.

She is survived by her three children, Leonya Fritz, Ronald Fritz and Ageenah Treadwell (Jeremy); seven grandchildren, James D. Tindall III, Akiea Sturgis-Fritz, Jamiah Fritz-Tindall, Amaneeh Treadwell, Aubreonna Treadwell, Aspen Treadwell, and Jeremiah Brockman; three great-grandchildren, Josiah Tindall, Makensie Tindall, and Nasir Robinson; three sisters, Donna Fritz, Annette Fritz, and Marilyn Kimble; two brothers, Gary Fritz and Cortez Fritz; and one lifetime soulmate, Malcolm Denmon.
