Leroy Jackson was born on January 25, 1939, in Pine Bluff, Arkansas to the parentage of Eddie Jackson, Sr. and Jessie Craig Jackson. On August 8, 2026, he peacefully entered eternal rest surrounded by his loved ones. He grew up and attended school in Pine Bluff, Arkansas. At an early age, Mr. Jackson began work in the construction industry.

He worked diligently for 50 plus years and contributed his talent and skills to the construction of countless projects, both large and small. One of his proudest accomplishment was the work he contributed to improvements undertaken at Chicago O'Hare International Airport. In his spare time, Mr. Jackson enjoyed playing dominoes and spending a leisurely afternoon fishing.

Leroy was preceded in death by his parents: Eddie Jackson, Sr. and Jesse Craig Jackson; his former wife, Ophelia Carr Jackson; his sisters: Ruth Johnson Ivory and Gloria Jean Jackson; his brothers: Willie Mitchell, Eddie Jackson, Jr., Robert Jackson, Restee Jackson, Salome Jackson, Abraham Jackson, Anthony (NeNe) Jackson, and William Haskell. Leroy was also predeceased by his children: Ester Lee Davis, Raymond Lancaster, Myrion Jackson, and Michael Epinger; his granddaughter, Tilwanna Keanna Davis, and his great-granddaughter, Jamilah Davis.

Leroy is survived by his children: Shannon Carr, Tracy Jackson, Leon Jackson, Leslie Lancaster and his wife Phyllis, Kenny Carr, and Donald Jackson; his siblings: Elizabeth Lewis and her husband Manuel, Moses Jackson, William Earl Barrett, and Ted Jackson and his wife; and his daughter-in-law, Rose Jackson.

Also surviving Leroy are his grandchildren: Angela Davis, Jenna (Duke) Davis, Kenyetta Jackson, Kevin Jackson, Anthony Morgan, Antwan Jackson, Antonio Johnson, Jeremy Lancaster, Kaitlyn Lancaster, Cameron Lancaster, Joshua Jackson, Jeremiah Jackson, Javon Jackson and Stacia Epinger; numerous great-grandchildren cousins, nieces and nephews.
