Leroy Bynum Jr

Leroy Bynum Jr., 75, passed away on July 23, 2020 at St. Joseph Hospital in Kansas City, MO. Leroy was born on June 4, 1945 in Kansas City to Leroy Bynum Sr. and Mattie Bynum. Leroy grew up in Kansas City, MO and graduated from Southeast High School. Leroy attended Washburn University in Topeka KS where he received a Paralegal Degree. Leroy worked for 31 years in the Healthcare Industry, Independent Contract, he was also involved in the board of Topeka Nursing Authority.

Leroy was married to Teresa for 6 years. Leroy was all about his family. He loved to be around his family. He also enjoyed soft jazz and live bands. That morning paper was the best of him, reading it from front to back, where he made that a chore for Leroy and Reginald. They had to read something out that paper every day. He also enjoyed skating, KC 2 Steppin until his health failed. He will truly be missed by all his family.

Leroy was preceded into death by both of his parents, his wife, Teresa Bynum, grandchildren; Nicolette Bailey, and Leroy Bynum IV.

Leroy is survived by his children; Leroy Bynum III (LaTanya), Reginald Lewis (Kimberly), Andre Bynum (Cynthia), Delta Bynum (Erma), one sister; Norma Kay Funderburk (Ruben), one nephew; Troy Campbell ( Tina), grandkids; Brittany Jackson, Devin Bynum, Dondre Bynum, Nicholas Lewis, Ricteryan Lewis, and one great grandson, Dyson Barner. Leroy will always be missed by Billie Laurie, and Doll Ansar.
