On February 21, 1938, Miss Lexter Lee Adams was born to Horace Adams Sr and Lula B. Adams. Her mother, father and three sisters Catherine, Julia-Alice and Betty all proceed her in death.

Miss Lexter was a native of Kansas City, MO, where she attended school. She was a member of Barker Temple Cathedral of Praise Church of God and Christ, where she served faithfully on the mother board. She worked at Western Missouri then retired, as well as Woodley Janitorial Services then retired and lastly, she worked as a cook/ server at Troost Elementary School and later retired. Miss Lexter helped raise her grandchildren and great grandchildren, she opened her home and table to those in need. In her final days Miss Lexter lived her life under the care of her granddaughter who cared for her until she departed.

Miss Lexter leaves to mourn her passing: three daughters and one son, Mrs. Sharon Bell (Darryl Bell), Mrs. Vicki Smith (Fred Smith), Mrs. Carla Summers (Calvin Summers) and Mr. Daniel Adams (Monat’i Adams). 14 grandchildren: Verlyn Adams, Charlie Adams Kenyoina Hill, Tiffany Adams, Darryl Bell Jr, Terry Adams, Tierra Adams, Shanese Vasiljevic, Danielle Adams, Cierra Adams, Antonio Brim, Kiara Smith, Alexis Adams and Antwuion Adams. 24 great grandchildren, 2 great-great grandchildren and 4 bonus grandchildren Calvin Drone, Branen Drone, Shaneika Drone and Arron Talifero. One brother Horace Adams, Jr and 2 sisters Miss Carolyn Jean Adams and Mrs. Joenell Bell.
