Lillie Ruth Mitchell

Lillie Ruth Mitchell, 86 passed away on June 21,2018 at home. She was born on May 31, 1932 in Knoxville, Tennessee to George Washington Phillips and Alma Grace Jackson. She grew up in Detroit, Michigan. She graduated from Cass Tech high school in Detroit, Michigan. After high school Lillie began working for Western Missouri Mental Health Center

As a Developmental Assistant where she worked for 26 years. Until she retired in 1994. Lillie was involved in spreading the gospel of Jesus Christ. Lillie married William J Mitchell Jr. They were happily married for 21 years. She was preceded into death by father, George Washington Phillips, mother Alma Grace Wright, Husband William J. Mitchell.

Lillie is survived by three sons Clifford Mitchell, Steven Mitchell (Andrea), Gregory McKnight and one daughter Caron McKnight. Four grandchildren Craig McKnight, Shalyssa Mitchell, Jasmine Mitchell, Ashley Mitchell; three great grandchildren Alex McKnight, Catherine McKnight, Sarah McKnight.
