Linda Carol Bell was born on December 17, 1951, to the union of John "Bill" Harvey and Lacy Bell (Canady) Mitchem in Hattieville, Arkansas. She transitioned to her heavenly home and gained her wings on January 11, 2026. Linda was preceded in death by both parents, her maternal and paternal grandparents, one sister, Corena Wash; three brothers: Lathern, Cecil and Glen Mitchem; mother-in-law, Pearlie Beatrice Bell; three brothers-in-law, Arthur Walker, Arthur Wash and Kenny B. Bell; two sisters-in-law, Wardean Mitchem and Phyllis A. Bell; and, two nephews, Jermaine Coleman and Antoine Canady.

Linda was educated in Hattieville, Arkansas, attending Center Junior Elementary School and Wonderview High School, graduating with the Class of 1970. Linda then went on to continue her education at The University of Central Arkansas (UCA), located in Conway, Arkansas.

At an early age, Linda united with New Mount Zion Methodist Church, Hattieville, Arkansas where she accepted Christ. Linda moved to Kansas City, Missouri and united with Mt. Pleasant Missionary Baptist Church. She met and married the man of her dreams, Larry Eugene Bell, on February 25, 1978. To this union one daughter, Kimberly was born.

Linda was employed by the Social Security Administration for many years until she retired. She enjoyed reading and storytelling. Most of all, she loved spending time with her family.

Left to cherish Linda's sweet memories: her husband, Larry Bell, of the home; her daughter, Kimberly Dukes (Chris), of the city; brothers: James Mitchem, Hervey Mitchem (Shirley), Hal Mitchem (Minnie), Floyd Mitchem (Wilma) and Carlton Mitchem, all of the city; sisters: Nina Walker, Jean Webb (Fred), Brenda Walker (Eric), Beatrice Mitchem, all of the city, Loretta Mitchem and Melissa Easterwood (Mark), both of Conway, Arkansas; brothers-in-law, Lorence Bell Jr. (Joelle) and Charmus Bell Sr. (Brenda), both of the city; sisters-in-law: Lorraine Bell, Glenda Bell and Pam Bell, all of the city; aunts: Sylvia Byers, of the city and Cora Lee Surrat, of Morrilton, Arkansas; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other loving family and friends.
