Linda G Calhoun

Linda Calhoun was born April 28, 1941 to Richard Calhoun and Elizabeth Fields. Lynn grew up in Kansas City, Kansas and attended Douglas Elementary, Lynn graduated from Sumner High School. She attended college in Pittsburg, KS for nursing. She used her Nursing skills working at St. Margaret’s Hospital in KCKS. After many jobs, she retired from DST in 2001 and later resumed working for the City of Kansas City. Lynn was committed to and loved very dearly her life partner and spouse, Kookie LaMaster – Hunter, they met in 1995 and was inseparable until her passing. Lynn was affectionately known as FaFa to her family and friends. FaFa loved to go to the casino and she loved to dance! She would always enjoy her casino outgoing with her special niece, (Nacole LaMaster)!

Linda was preceded in death by her mother, Elizabeth Fields; her father, Richard Calhoun; sister, Larcena Prater; granddaughter, Jazmine Robinson; a niece LaKesha LaMaster; and her great-niece, Malaysia Mitchell.

Linda is survived by her life spouse, Kookie LaMaster-Hunter; two stepsons, Elijah LaMaster and Clyde Hunter; a stepdaughter, Lakita M. Hunter; granddaughter’s, Quea, Roniya, Bria, Jaelyn and Anniyah; grandsons, DeeAnthony, Elijah, Akee and Brandon; two great grandson’s, niece, LeToia Johnson; nephews, Marqua Mitchell and Mikal Mitchell; sister in-law’s, Linda LaMaster; Teena LaMaster; Maryetta Porter (Harold); Charlotta LaMaster; Charvon LaMastor; brother in-law, Phillip Prater, Arthur LaMaster (Rita); and a host of other nieces, nephews and friends!
