Linell Bailey (Lenny) was born on January 30, 1952, to Otis Green and Josephine Bailey. He departed this life on January 21, 2022, at Hidden Lake Care Facility in Kansas City, MO. He was preceded in death by both parents; 2 brothers, Phillip Bailey Sr., and Cleophus Guess; stepdad, Joseph Washington; nephew, Phillip Bailey Jr.; great-nephew, Bryan Smith; and a very special friend, Ms. Ruth Brown.

Linell had such a big heart and never met a stranger. He was a very good dresser. He loved dominoes and traveling. He was known to have beautiful cars; there was one that was his pride and joy, the green 1968 kissing door, Ford Thunderbird, which was always clean inside and out. Linell worked for Bendix/Honeywell Security Corp. from 1972-1989.

Linell married twice, his first marriage was dissolved. He later married Aritha Mitchell and that marriage was also dissolved.

Linell leaves to cherish his memory, his brother, James Bailey (Sharon) of Kansas City, MO; sisters, Cynthia Patterson (Henry) of Kansas City, KS, Ernie Washington (Judy), and Joyce Guess of Kansas City, MO; stepsons, Damien Mitchell (Naukomas), and Alexander Mitchell (Shelita) both of Kansas City, MO; stepdaughter, LaTonya M.
