Listen to Obituary

Lizzie (Warner) Roberson, aged 79, peacefully passed away on August 27, 2026, surrounded by her loving family.

Lizzie was born on July 5, 1947, to the union of Frank Warner and Catherine (Lomax) Warner in Faunsdale, Alabama, where she grew up. Shortly after graduating from high school in Alabama, she moved to Kansas City, Missouri, where she spent her time building a beautiful life and home. It was here that she met and married her beloved husband, Kenneth "Mike" Roberson, with whom she shared 50 beautiful years of marriage. Upon marrying, she became a dedicated homemaker, pouring her heart into caring for her family.

Lizzie was a woman of many talents and passions. She found joy in the arts of sewing, making quilts, gardening, cooking, and baking for those she loved. She loved the excitement of visits to the casino, relaxing with game shows and her favorite "stories" (soap operas), and above all, spending time surrounded by her family.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Catherine Warner; her beloved husband, Kenneth "Mike" Roberson; her sister, Hannah Warner; and grandchildren, Travis Burtin and Lakeisha Roberson.

Lizzie's love, warmth, and quiet, calm spirit will be deeply missed by her surviving family: her son, Keith Roberson; daughter, Karen Roberson-Barry (Lee); stepdaughter, Sabrina Marshall (Fred); stepson, Vincent Roberson (Cheryl); stepdaughter, Marcelyn Burtin (Ted); stepson, Kenneth Roberson; her sisters: Emma Huggins, Mary Davis, and Helen Warner; her brother, Frank Warner Jr. (Karla); her 9 grandchildren; and her 6 great-grandchildren; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends.
