Lloyd Smith

Lloyd S. Smith, 70, departed this life on April 15, 2021 at Redwood of Kansas City South in Kansas City, Missouri.  He was born on January 5, 1949 in Kansas City, Missouri to Willard E. Smith and Lorene Gantt-Smith.

He grew up in Kansas City, Missouri.  He received his GED from Castle Valley Job Corps Center in Prince, Utah.  After receiving his GED, he received a Culinary Arts Certificate.  He later on began working for UMKC as a Small Appliance Engineer.  He retired in 2008 after 30 years of service.

Lloyd is preceded in death by his parents: Willard E. Smith and Lorene Gantt-Smith; and his brother Willard Smith, Sr.

He leaves to cherish his memories his daughters: Ebony M. Jones, and Chandra Daniels; grandchildren: Damontae Baker, Javon Austin, and Donovan Jones; his siblings: Elaine johnson, Elois Sherman, Eleanor Cathy (Freddy), Edna Miles, Evelyn Mays, Everette Smith (Rosie), Edith Smith, Ethel Buckman, and Emily Alexander, and a host of other relatives and friends.
