Lois Hardy

Lois Jean Hardy, age 70, passed away peacefully on Tuesday morning, January 17, 2023, at St. Luke’s Hospital in Kansas City, MO.

Lois was born on April 5, 1952, to Mattie Fae and Nemi Hardy.  She grew up in Kansas City, MO.

During her lifetime she was employed with various companies such as UMKC, The Hyatt Regency and Samuel U. Rodgers Health Center.  She enjoyed participating in the yearly health fairs held at Samuel Rodgers and encouraging women to sign up for breast cancer screening.

Some of Lois’ hobbies were traveling, shopping, playing Bingo with her friends, collecting dolls, coins and making fashion bracelets.  Lois loved good food and eating out, and really loved her Grandson Donte’s peach cobbler. Lois really loved and people and enjoyed her life to the fullest.

She was preceded in death by her son: John Hardy; and her sister: Linda Yancy.

She is survived by her daughters: Alisa Ross, LarTausha Carter, and Cynthia Norman; her brothers: Cornelius Barnes, Bob, Harold, James, and Nemi Hardy;  her sisters: Ora Eason and Anita Hardy,  and a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephew and cousins.
