In Loving Memory of Lontrell Henderson Jr.

Lontrell Dayon Henderson, 29, of Kansas City, Missouri, passed away peacefully at home on February 21, 2026.

Born on September 18, 1996, in Kansas City, Missouri, Lontrell was the beloved son of Ramon Strickland Sr. and Danielle Henderson-Ross. He was raised in Kansas City, where he attended school and later continued his education through Job Corps.

Lontrell built a career as a diesel mechanic, a profession that perfectly matched his passion for working on cars. He had a natural talent with his hands and took pride in fixing, building, and learning everything he could about vehicles. If it had wheels and an engine, Lontrell was interested.

Outside of work, he enjoyed harassing people, gaming, watching WWE, playing with hot wheels and spending time doing what he loved most — being around family and friends. He had a strong presence, a memorable smile, and a spirit that brought energy into every room he entered.

He leaves to cherish his memory his son, Lontrell Jr.; his longtime girlfriend Tahja; his mother, Danielle Henderson-Ross; his father, Ramon Strickland Sr.; his bonus mother Jujuan Smith; his grandmother, Elaine Henderson; his siblings Marshay, Azi, Ravion, Aniya, Ramon Jr., Tahj and Tim Jr.; his aunt, Ruth Jones ( Ronnell Sr.) and a host of aunts, uncles, special cousins, extended family members, and friends who loved him dearly.

Though his time here was far too short, Lontrell’s love, laughter, and legacy will live on through his son, and everyone blessed to know him.

He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
