Lorene Watkins was born on June 15, 1944 in Camden, Mississippi to Henry Watkins Sr and Allie Glee Collins. She was preceded in death by both parents, her son Kenneth Watkins; her sister Christine Felder; and her brothers Rev.Ben Watkins, Rev.Bill Watkins, Percy Watkins, Robert Watkins, James Watkins, Joseph Watkins, George Watkins, Cleophus Watkins. And goddaughter Keana Bradley.
Lorene grew up in Camden, Mississippi where she attended Velma Jackson High School.
Lorene was united in marriage to Earnest Jackson November 26, 1986. To this union (0) children were born. She retired after over 27 years of dedicated service with Gear For Sports, where she received countless acknowledgements and awards for her superior service.
Lorene was a devoted member of Prince of Peace Missionary Baptist church for over 60 years. She was a very active member of the choir and was willing to help out with any organization of the church.
Lorene enjoyed cooking, watching basketball, football, especially her game shows, traveling and spending time with family.
Lorene departed this life on Wednesday, February 5, 2025. at home in Kansas City, MO.
She leaves to cherish her memory, Her loving son, Michael Watkins Sr. (1) loving sister Bessie(Johnnie)Watkins Price. (5) loving brothers Willie Jones, Henry Watkins Jr, Earnest Watkins, Daniel Watkins(Ann) Watkins, Roosevelt (Jean) Watkins.(1) goddaughter Jessica Price. 5 Grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives and friends
