Louis Davis, Sr.

Louis Davis Sr. was born on January 29, 1939 to Dave Oliver Davis and Rosie Burton. He was born in Birmingham, Alabama and raised in Montgomery, Alabama by his grandmother, Ida Davis. Louis was preceded in death by his parents, his brother, Dave Oliver Davis, Jr. and granddaughter, Jasmine I. Greer.

Louis Davis, Sr. attended school in Montgomery, Alabama and graduated from Carver High School in 1958. He was employed with Hudson and Thompson Company.

Louis attended the First Baptist Church, where he accepted Christ at an early age and was a member.

Louis met and married Eliza (Blu) Smith in 1963. He later moved his family to Kansas City, Missouri in 1965, where he was employed with TWA (Trans World Airline) for 15 years. He was later employed with Lake City Ammunition Company until he retired in 2006.

Louis was a devoted husband, father, brother, son and friend. He was also a self-taught remodeler. He believed in teaching young men how to be a man taking care of their family and how to be responsible. He enjoyed chilling at the dining room table with a coke and old crow drink and socializing with his family and friends. Holidays, game night, fight night and barbeque picnics were his best time to celebrate with others and he would share life history with you.
