Lutricia Northern was born July 7, 1949 in Atkins, Arkansas.  She was the ninth child born to the union of Eddie and Rena Williams.  She departed this life on June 27, 2020.

Lutricia professed a hope in Christ and lived her life as a Christian woman.  She joined Diggs Chapel A.M.E. Zion Church in Blackwell, Arkansas.  She was educated in the Pope and Conway County School System in Arkansas.  After graduating High School, she moved to Kansas City, Missouri.

Lutricia was employed by Southwestern Bell/AT&T from 1971 through 2001 where she retired after 30 Years of Service.  After retiring she was employed at Sam’s Club as a Demo Associate and LINC (Local Investment Commission) before and after school program as a greeter, greeting parents daily with a smile.

Lutricia joined Metropolitan A.M.E Zion Church where she served in many ministries and positions that included Sunday School Teacher, Usher Ministry, Missionary Society, liturgical dance ministry “Sister Act” and she was one of the original members of The Women’s Prayer Group and Women’s Ministry. She was a coordinator of the Senior Adults and Retirees Ministry where she developed her passion of honoring Veterans through many projects, recognitions, presentations, luncheons, etc.

Lutricia loved spending time with family.  She enjoyed her family trips; she never missed a family reunion.  Her travels included a Caribbean Cruise (1992), Africa (1995), New York, NY (2003), Jamaican Cruise (2007) and a recent trip to Washington D.C. (2018) to visit the National Museum of African American History.

She was preceded in death by both parents, three sisters, Bobbie Sue Williams, Rutha J. White and Clarice Young; and one grandson, Tyrone London.

She leaves to cherish her memories two sons, James (Nykita) Williams, and Terrance (LaShandra) Northern; six sisters, Mary Williams, Edwinnia (Luther) McDaniel, Gertrude McCoy, Margaret (Jones) Byers, Janet (Richard) Johnson and Lee Noria Williams; one brother, Billy Joe Williams Sr; seven grandchildren, Sir’ Keith Brown, Keshawn Davis, Kelia Davis-Williams, Chaylee Collins, Colin London, Dorrion Northern, and Terrance Northern Jr; seven great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.  Also, one special friend, Laverna Arnold. They bonded over girl talk and their special Coffee with Ginseng.
