Marcus Monroe Jimenez

On July 23, 2021 a radiant soul gifted with golden wings was called home to be with the Lord, that humbled soul was Marcus M. Jimenez. Marcus was born September 17, 1981, to the late Fredrick M. Barnes and Maria Jimenez. He attended Kansas City, MO School District. Marcus worked as a laborer; he had many God gifted talents. Marcus was a true renaissance man, he had a contagious spirit that touched anyone whom he was around or came in contact with. You always felt a welcoming comfort from him. His heart was full of warm healing.

Marcus was always willing to listen to the concerns of others despite his own hardship, his heart was truly golden, Marcus gave his life to  Christ at an early age under the leadership of Bishop Larry B. Aiken.

Preceding him in death are brothers: Kortez D, Jimenez, Daunte R. Jimenez; grandmother: Earnestine Thompson; grandfather: Jose Jimenez and Milton Barness Sr.; great-grandmothers: Essie Palmer and Mildred Bailey; great- grandpa: Fredrick Bailey Sr.; aunts: Rose Traylor, Earselean Palmer, Stella Palmer; uncles: Billie J. Palmer, Albert Thompson, Larry Avila; cousins: Larry J. Palmer and Garry L. Thompson, Robiell Avila; godly brothers: Kevin Pippens- Jones and Earl Ramsey Jr.

He departed this life on July 23, 2021, where he will meet his family members on the other side.

Marcus leaves and will be forever remembered by his mother: Maria Jimenez; brothers: Jermaine Jimenez, Dominique Jimenez, Fedrick Bailey and Nathaniel Bailey; grandmother: Lolita Taylor; children: Kortiana Jimenez, Mi’Yhuana Jimenez, Aylisha King, Monyha Smith, Javier Soto, Elaza Dixon, Julian Soto, Skylar Utter; loving aunts: Annette Thompson, Stephanie Lasswell; nieces: Dominique Cole and De’Asia Gordon; nephew: Jalen Jimenez; a host of aunts, uncles, nephews, nieces, family and friends, loving cousins: Robert and Shanta Avila.
