Marcus Kennedy

In loving power and mercy of our Heavenly Father, our dearly beloved brother, Marcus Thomas Kennedy, was called from labor to rest on November 15, 2021. Marcus was born on November 11, 1969 in Kansas City, MO to Monica Kennedy. Marcus grew up in Kansas City as the second oldest of Monica’s children.

He attended Schlagle High school and later pursued a career at Gated Barbecue. Later in life he worked in home renovations. He was very knowledgeable of cars and loved to work on them and was a jack of all trades.

Marcus loved playing cards, dominoes, and watching football with family and friends. He enjoyed life and he experienced it to the fullest.

Marcus joins his mother, Monica Kennedy; his aunt, Helena Kennedy; and his grandparents, Lester and Cleda Kennedy.

He leaves behind his brother, A. Douglas Kennedy, Sr. (Jeanette); sister, Eraina Jones, both of Kansas City, MO; his children, Keith Hartwainger of Atlanta, GA, Jasmine Kennedy of Topeka, KS, and Zaliya Kennedy, of Kansas City, MO; grandchildren, Keith and Destiny; as well as aunts, uncles, and a host of other nieces, nephews and cousins.
