Maria Harvey-Kline

Maria S. Harvey Kline lovingly known as Queen B and Aunt Ree was born on July 24, 1952 in Kansas City, Kansas to the parents of Lester Carl Harvey, Sr. and Kathlene Atkins Harvey. She is preceded in death by her father and two brothers, John Lawrence Harvey and Lester Carl Harvey, Jr. Maria lost her battle with cancer on January 28, 2018 at her devoted friend, Prudence's residence in Overland Park, Kansas in the presence of her family. Maria earned her diploma from Wyandotte High School in 1971 and received her Associates Degree from Donnelly College. She started her own Child Day Care Service in her home for several years. Maria was Co-Founder of OCCF Association (Our Community Children's Future) and PFL Records. As a single parent she launched her daughter's modeling career at a very early age and sent her son to Grambling State University on a four year band scholarship. Maria was a Kansas City, Kansas Freedom Fighter, Community Activist and Music Promoter, always there for her people, standing her grounds, sharing her knowledge and protesting ….. All for her people. Maria leaves to mourn: one son: Andre’ Diallo Kline (Stacy) of Kansas City, KS; one daughter: AndreaLynn Denise Butler (Dominic) of GA; four grandchildren: Makaila and Kierra Kline of Kansas City, KS; Sincere My'Son and Kweli Amir Reliford of GA; Mother: Kathlene Harvey of Kansas City, KS; one brother: Louis Leon Harvey of Kansas City, KS; two sisters: Dyantha Jo Harvey Ford and Cassandra Beatrice Smith (Tommy) both of Kansas City, MO and as mentioned above one devoted/loving friend: Prudence Robinson-Lee of SMKS and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts and family members, extended family member and friends.
