Mrs. Marie Briscoe of Kansas City, MO. was born on April 22, 1940, Marie departed her life at Belton Regional Hospital on May 24, 2022, at the age of eighty-two years old. She was born in Gregory, Arkansas, to this union of Sam and Lizzie (Walter) Simmons. On March 11, 1966, she was united in marriage to Ernest Lee Briscoe to this union it consisted of a blended family of four children.
Marie Briscoe graduated from Carver High School in Augusta, Arkansas and later moved to Kansas City, MO. Marie was employed at Deluxe Laundry and forty years at Crown Center as a Lead Laundry technician in Kansas City, MO. After retirement she enjoyed her life and loved her family. She was in ministries as an evangelist at the Holy Temple of God, Church of Miracles & School of Ministries under the leadership of Bishop Isabell LeGrone. Marie took on the leadership role of providing Easter programs and handing out poems to the children of the church.
Marie proceeded in death by her father Sam Simmons and mother Lizzie Simmons, her husband Ernest Lee Briscoe, two sisters: Barbra Weldon and Ruby Jean Roddy, three brothers: Stanley Simmons, Hershel Simmons, Alonzo Simmons and one child Beverly Ann Briscoe-Clark.
She leaves to cherish her memory: two daughters, Sebrina Briscoe of Kansas City, MO, Ernestin “Darrell" Winston of West Helena, Arkansas. One son, Jerry “Annette” Briscoe of Searcy, Arkansas. Fourteen grandchildren, thirty- nine great grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren, One sister, Imogene “Ferdis” Briscoe of Kansas City, MO. A host of nieces, nephews, aunts, cousins, sister in-laws, brother in-laws and friends.
