Marie C Moorehead

Marie Carol Moorehead was born on July 2, 1933 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma to Willie and Madie Allen.

She transitioned to eternal life April 21, 2018.

Her parents Willie Allen and Madie Scarborough, her husband Lloyd Moorehead Sr., her brother Roland Allen, and sister Kathleen Allen all preceded her in death.

She leaves to mourn her death 7 children: sons Arthur Pendleton, Lloyd Moorehead Jr., and Anthony Moorehead (Kimberly), daughters, Minerva Sanders, Vinita Morris, Sandra Jamerson (R.L.) and Sylvia McCallop (Willliam).

Grandchildren: Ronnie, Cherise, Enola and Annie (Arthur), Eric, Evinn and Erin (Minerva), Gale, Patricia and Anthony (Vinita), RaShonda, Rhonda, Bobby, Moniesha (Sandra), Lonell, Gary, Lloyd II, Phillip (Lloyd) Alexander, Anthony and Christian (Anthony).

30 plus great grandchildren and a host of great-great grandchildren.

Marie Carol Moorehead started her education in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma at Edwards Elementary School and received her G.E.D in Omaha Nebraska.

She resided in Kansas City, Missouri at the time of her transition.

She loved fashion and worked in the garment district for many years, Betty Rose, and Chasnoff’s.

She was the transportation coordinator for Banneker Head Start, The Kansas City call, Hostess for Mission Hills Country club, and Linde, Thompson Law firm and the Saint Vincent Grandparent program, House of Lloyd and she had several other part-time jobs.

Her church affiliations were: St. John Baptist Church, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Metropolitan Missionary Baptist Church of Kansas City, Missouri where she loved to visit.

She loved dancing, music and singing. She sung and traveled with Simone Payne and Leviticus Singers Gospel group of Kansas City, Missouri. She traveled all over the country and overseas. And she especially loved sports and fishing, and her beloved dog Diamond. A loyal Chiefs and Royals fan.
