Listen to Obituary

Mark Anthony Antwine, 56, transitioned to eternal rest Thursday, January 17, 2019 at Redwood of Blue River Nursing Home and Rehabilitation Center with his loving wife by his side. He was born February 28, 1962 in Kansas City, MO to the union of James Charles Anwtine and Ruby H. Antwine.

Mark was a lifelong resident of Kansas City, MO. and received his education in the area. He graduated· from Bishop Hogan High School and attended Manual Career and Technical Center studying electrical engineering. He was employed at National Envelope, Lenexa, KS, as a parts manager for 25 years. He later was employed as a machinist at Lake City Ammunition Plant for 8 years and terminated his employment there due to health reasons. He was a lifelong member of St. Louis Catholic Church, Kansas City, MO.

On April 28, 2007 he married the "love of his life" Renetta Tooley Antwine of the home.

Mark loved life, starting out in elementary school as a Boys Scout with his father being his scout leader. Mark was very athletic in high school playing basketball, football, and running track. He also loved playing dominos, darts, and to go on fishing trips with his father. If you knew Mark, you know that he loved to cook and his specialty was Barbeque Ribs or really anything on the grill. He could also throw down on a great healthy breakfast meal if you ever spent the night at the Antwine home. He loved spending time with family and had a great sense of humor making sure that he made you laugh. He loved spending time with his best buddies, which he referenced as his "brothers for life", and his cousins Don and Niecee who got to taste those great breakfast meals on Sunday mornings. Mark looked forward to going to the so-called country (Fayette, MO) to hang out and had said he wanted to retire there one day. Mark loved old school cars. You could catch him riding in one of them from time to time in the so called "country". Although he was an avid Green Bay Packers fan, he was an undercover Kansas City Chiefs fan as well. Mark loved his daughters Ran and Angel. Mark and his only son Josh were like two peas in a pod. He would always say nothing can interfere or shatter the love of a father and son.

Mark was preceded in death by his father James Charles Antwine, his maternal and paternal grandparents, mother in-law; Virginia Crutchfield and brother in-law; Larry Boone.

He leaves to cherish his precious memories, his loving and devoted wife Renetta Antwine of the home; mother Ruby H.
