Mark A. Edwards

Mark Anthony Edwards was born to Marrita Edwards and Louis Walker on August 31, 1991. He was educated in Kansas City Public Schools, however graduated from Raytown South, Class of 2010. Mark accepted the Lord as his personal Savior and was baptized at an early age at Pleasant Green Baptist Church.  He later joined Heart of God Evangelistic Ministries.

Mark was a devoted and caring father to Ma’Lani. He referred to her as “Butt-Butt”. They often spent time going to the park and eating. They would stay up late at night playing the game and having special Daddy-daughter time.

He was especially fond of kids. He was a loving uncle to Journee and Janae. He was also a godfather to his younger cousins who loved to spend time with him. Mark was a man of many talents. Every opportunity he had to capture memories with his camera, he took to do so.

Mark never met a stranger. He formed relationships with many different people of all ages. He touched the lives of several people and will continue to do so through his donation of his organs.

Mark A. Edwards was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, June Edwards; paternal grandfather, Nathan Walker. He leaves to cherish his memory, his daughter, Ma’Lani Davis; his mother, Marrita Edwards; his father, Louis Walker; his paternal grandmother, Yvonne George; his sister, Marquita Borders (Jamonte’); three uncles, Mark Edwards (Emma); Andre Walker (Kimberly); and MarQuann George; one aunt, Michele Edwards-Handson; a host of cousins, friends, loved ones and a special friend, Marissa Davis.
