Markel J. Heard

Markel James Heard, 26, transition from this life on April 30, 2024, at Research Medical Center in Kansas City, Missouri.

He was born on September 1, 1997, in Fort Riley, Kansas to Ollis and Tisa Heard.

He grew up in Kansas City, Missouri, attending Southwest High School.  He later began working for QuickTrip Distribution Center as a warehouse worker, where he worked until he transitioned.

He is preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Deborah P. Gray; and paternal grandfather, Ollis Heard, Sr.

Markel is survived by his parents, Tisa and Ollis Heard; his sister, Danielle Heard; his brother, Brandon Heard; his niece, Kaileigh Heard; his nephew, Santano Grimmett; maternal grandparents, Robert E. Gray (Marilyn); his paternal grandmother, Clareccia Hampton, and a host of other relatives and friends.
