Marlena Denise Moore

Marlena Denise Starr-Moore (AKA Tuffy, Baby Love) was born on September 19, 1962 in Kansas City Missouri, to John Leo Starr(deceased) and Wanda Lee Wright (Buford).

Marlena is survived by her mother, Wanda Lee Wright (Buford); her children, Nirome Damon Starr, Donyale Eugene Starr, and Dyeisha Starr.

Marlena leaves behind 2 sisters; Wanda Jean Brown; Tommie Brown (spouse) and Kimberly Renee Britton, and 2 brothers; Claude Ross Starr, and Vincent Avery Starr, Evelyn Starr (Spouse) as well as Half brothers and sisters.

Marlena leaves behind several grandchildren to include several precious grandchildren: Brian Starr Jr, Nya Starr, Briya Starr, Shyla Starr, ShaMyah Starr, Zaina Starr, and Brandon Starr.

Marlena leaves behind several nieces to include Carla Starr, Marshall Wright, Shawnette Wright, and a host of other nieces, cousins, other relatives, and friends.

Marlena was proceeded in death by Brian Starr Sr.(Son), John Leo Starr(Father), Linda Wright(Sister), Valeria Starr(Sister), Robert Wright(Brother), John Starr Jr. (Brother), Curtis Starr Sr. (Brother), and Jacque Pierre-Britton(Nephew).

Marlena was employed with Quest Diagnostic in Kansas City, Missouri for the past seven years.  Prior to this she was employed with Sprint in Overland Park, Kansas for 15 years. She attended Park University in Parkville Missouri achieving an associate degree in Business.

Marlena enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, shopping, and listening to music.

Through utilization of her contagious smile, hearty laughter, and a courageous spirit Marlena served as a source of strength and encouragement to many. To know her is to love her.

Marlena will be missed by all!! Time to rest now Queen. We love you!
