Marlon Brandon Jones, Sr. was born July 25, 1980 and was the youngest twin as well as youngest child born to Cleophas and Juanita Garlington Jones in Kansas City, Kansas.
Marlon grew up in the Kansas City, Kansas area and attended Hawthorne Elementary School, Eugene Ware Elementary School, Argentine Middle School and F. L. Schlagle High School. While growing up in the Kansas City area he attended Trinity A.M.E. Church and was baptized under the leadership of Reverend Fran T. Cary on August 10, 2003.
Marlon worked for Akmarr Doors, Hallmark Cards, Fedex and more recently Berry Plastics in Lawrence, KS.
Marlon enjoyed cooking, grilling, watching movies and spending time with his family. He was a loving Father and was known for his gentle and quiet spirit. He was very protective of his family, especially his twin brother, Michael.
Marlon departed his earthly life on Sunday, November 25, 2018. He was preceded in death by paternal grandparents, Johnnie Jones and Vivian Jones; maternal grandparents Raymond Garlington and Wanda Garlington; Godmother, Lacy Jenkins; uncles, Raythan Garlington and Lemoyne Jones, Sr.; aunt, Jonether Walker and niece, Ciara Jones.
Marlon leaves to cherish his memory, two sons, Marlon Brandon Jones, Jr. and Martavious Alexander Jones; parents, Cleophas and Juanita Jones; siblings, Cleophas Jones, Jr., Kimberly Lavender (Lance), his twin, Michael Jones and Stephanie Smith (Eubie); special friend, Dariscia McCallister; nephews, Stefan Jones, Cleophas Jones III and Lance Lavender, Jr.; nieces, Shacoya Jones, Naya Jones, Erica Saffold, Journey Powell and JaLynn Smith and a host of relatives and friends.
