Listen to Obituary

Marlon Lamont Smith  “Wells” was born on June 2,1984 in Kansas City, MO; to the late Rockey Bradley Sr. and Marlyn Smith. Marlon was the second child born into this union. Marlon was educated in the Kansas City Missouri School District, and last attended Southeast High School. Marlon had employment history with DHL and JCPenney.

Marlon was a free spirit who loved life as much as he loved his family. The joy of his life were his two children, Kyleigh and Marlon Jr. whom he shares with Tysha Wilson. Marlon will leave us with memories that will last a lifetime, rather it be Marlon racing up the street in one of his fast cars or him asking for feedback on one of his new verses. Marlon was a natural comic and always had a way of making you laugh. It’s no secret Marlon was known as the “protector” in the family, you could always count on Marlon, especially the girls in the family. When Marlon wasn’t spending time with his children, he enjoyed spending time with family and friends.

Marlon was preceded in death by his parents, Rockey and Marlyn; grandparents, Arlene Bradley, and Hermon Webb; aunts, Shaundrae Smith, and Jeri Morrision; and uncles, Ike Charles, and Richard Samuels (Pooh Bear).

Marlon leaves to cherish his memories his children, Kyleigh and Marlon Smith Jr; six brothers, Rockey Bradley Jr., Deundrae Smith (Trisla), Keith Brim, Rakeem Bradley, Kenneth Bradley and JyLan Turner; four sisters, Tonisha Lyles, Raquel Bradley, Rockayla Bradley, and Rashay Bradley; grandparents, Dessie Morrison, and Bobbie Webb; aunts, Audrey, Barbara, Betty, Gayle, Lisa (David), Shelia (Milton Sr), Patricia, Soundra (Mondale), Nicole, Kim, Sherita, and Rose (Kim Sr). uncles, Herman (Beverly), Mark, Achavis, and Aubrey. Marlon also leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, friends, and a host of cousins who he revered as brothers and sisters. Marlon will be truly missed.
