Marquis D. Kindred

Marquis Delvon Kindred was born on March 25th, 2003 at Truman Medical Center in Kansas City Missouri to Marcus Kindred and Rose Ann Banks. Marquis received his high school diploma from Belton High School with the class of 2021. After graduation Marquis started a career with the United States Postal Service where he worked for 2 years.

Marquis was God-fearing and accepted Christ at an early age. Marquis was very competitive and loved to play sports. Marquis played football, basketball, baseball and soccer. Marquis found his passion for baseball at 11 years old and it quickly became his favorite sport. Marquis played center-field and short stop. Marquis was a member of the Males to Men mentoring program where he participated in activities to give back to his community while learning life skills. Marquis tutored his peers in mathematics at Southeast High School and at Crossroads Prep Academy. Family was very important to Marquis, he especially enjoyed time with his brother and sisters. Marquis enjoyed gaming, swimming, herbal refreshments, music, spending time with his friends and girlfriend.

Marquis will be remembered for his big heart, giving spirit, beautiful smile, chocolate skin, passionate attitude. Marquis loved to check on his loved ones and wasn’t afraid to tell them how much he loved them. Marquis was viewed by his peers as a leader and often chosen for leadership roles at school and work. Marquis was loved and he touched the lives of so many people. He will truly be missed and will never, ever, be forgotten.

Marquis was preceded in death by his Grandparents: Betty Jean Kindred, Nathanial Anthony Simon. Uncle: Darrick Jackson, John Kindred, Anthony Shoats and Anthony Shoats.

Marquis leaves to cherish his beloved memory: Parents: Rose Ann Banks, Marcus Kindred, Chimeka Kindred, Russell Banks. Siblings: Taejiauna Bandy, G’Iante Butler, MaRaya Kindred, MyLeah Kindred. Grandparents: Darrick Jackson, LaVerta Jackson, Myla Mitchell, James Williams, Eugene & Denise Sage, Great- Grandmother: Josephine Washington, Aunts: Robin (Lester) Long, Cheryl Paden, Patricia Bradford, Janell Kindred, Angela Kindred, Rachel Clark, Shauntee Smith. Uncles: Nathan (LaTonya) Kindred, Mario Kindred, William Jackson, Zachary Mitchell, CherAmya Johnson (mate) and host of cousins, family and friends.
