Martha Finney

Mrs. Martha L. Finney entered the world on January 22, 1929, the fifth (a twin) of five children born to the union of Lester and Lemmie Briscoe.

Martha was born and raised in Boonville, Missouri. She relocated to Moberly, Missouri and on to Kansas City, Missouri in 1960. Martha dedicated her life to Christ on February 28, 1976 and maintained her membership at Greater Holy Temple Church of God in Christ until her homegoing. She was a homemaker and retired as a care provider for the Marian Grossman family. Her favorite pastime was collecting and displaying in the home photos of family and friends. She had fond memories and always a funny story to tell of those she loved.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Othal “Moon” Finney, Jr., and a loving great granddaughter, Tomeise Wyatt.

Martha leaves to cherish her memories: two sons, James Estill and Michael Finney (Helen); two granddaughters, Michelle Ndiaye and Christel Brown (Willie), multiple great grandchildren, great, great grandchildren, a host of nieces and nephews, and other relatives and friends.
