Martha Gordon

Martha L. Gordon, 81, departed this life on Friday, May 6, 2022, at St. Luke’s Hospital in Kansas City, Missouri.  She was born on August 12, 1940, in Greensboro, Georgia to Wallace Shelton and Martha L. Shelton.

Martha grew up in Kansas City, Missouri and graduated from Lincoln High School. She married Marvin Gordon in 1963 and they were happily married for 52 years.  She loved shopping, traveling, and going to the casinos. But most importantly, being a housewife and cooking for her family, and all that she considered to be part of her family.

She is preceded in death by her parents; Wallace Shelton and Martha Prueitt; her husband: Marvin Gordon; her son: Kenneth Bell; her sisters: Marie Stovall and Annie Brown; and her grandson: Arnold Shelby.

Martha leaves to cherish her memories, her daughters: Patricia Anderson (Roy), and Deborah Wilson (Curtis); her brother: Cleveland Brown, Sr; her grandchildren: Sherrion Anderson and Connie Dean (Jeff); great grandchildren: Isaiah Session, Calven Johnson, and a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
