Martha Perkins

Martha, 84 passed away on January 26, 2024, at home in Kansas City, MO.  She was born November 4, 1939 in Pickens, MS to Albert and Maggie Robinson.

She graduated from Velma Ware Jackson High School and attended Mary Magalene Church in Camden, MS. Martha later moved to Kansas City, where she soon met Phil Roy Perkins. They married in 1961. Martha started working at St Lukes Hospital as a Dietary Clark for more than 35 years. She retired in 2002. Martha enjoyed cooking, shopping and spending time with family

She is preceded into death by her husband, both parents, brothers, Percy, Herbert, Chester, Leander, Walter, Frank, Calvin Robinson; one sister Versie Rogers; and one son Robert Perkins.

She is survived by two brothers, Albert and Julius Robinson; two sisters, Ruby Smith and Magnolia Simpson; one son, Melvin Perkins; one daughter, Jennifer Perkins-Henderson; five granddaughters, Latitta Moore, Melena Smith, Emily Perkins, Avione Perkins, Brionne Perkins; three grandsons, Ameche Foster, Landon Perkins and Johnathon Willaims. seven great grandchildren, and a host of other relatives and friends.
