Martha Witcher

Martha (Marty) Witcher, 65, passed away peacefully at home, on May 16, 2016. She fought a long and courageous battle with COPD. Martha was born on October 31, 1951, the third (a twin), of nine children born to James D. and Gertrude E. Witcher in Kansas City Missouri. She graduated from Southwest High School in 1968. She graduated from Penn Valley with an Associate's Degree in Nursing. Martha worked for Saint Joseph Medical Center for over 25 years, on various floors including ICU and Cardiac Rehab. Martha was proceeded in death by her parents, "JD" and "Gert" and her brother John D. Witcher as well as her grandparents Fred "Hus" and Katherine "Babe" Dwyer. Survivors include: daughter Tammy, son Brian and the loves of her life, her pride and joy, 3 grandchildren Alexis, Jeffery, Tamia, and a great granddaughter Avianna. Martha got no greater joy than watching the antics of Tamia and Avianna. Martha was an avid animal lover having had several dogs and cats throughout her life. Martha will be sorely missed by her family and friends. May she rest in peace!
