Listen to Obituary

Marvin Francois was a loving father, husband, and son. Most importantly, Marvin was an artist, capturing still moments of life through pictures all throughout his life. These pictures include beautiful natural scenery, to random midnight excursions in his Jeep. These pictures are evidence of just how happy he was, and just how grateful he was of that.

Early Life

Marvin Francois was born on October 5, 1969, in Nuremberg, Germany. He was an army brat, moving several places throughout his life. While in school, Marvin often was in trouble, because of his what-seemed lack of focus in class, always reading books and expanding his mind further than most of his teachers ever noticed. Little did they know Marvin already knew what he was being taught, bored with the monogamy and slowness of all his classes, and waiting eagerly for lunchtime, to go read more books in the school library. Marvin picked photography up at a young age, which would become his favorite hobby later in life. He later graduated from Righetti High School, in Santa Maria, California in 1988. He then served in the US military.

After serving in the US military,  he attended Mo Rolla University in Rolla, Missouri where he majored in Chemical Engineering and Computer Science. After moving to Kansas City, Marvin in 2003 married Christina Robinson. All throughout his life after marrying Christina, Marvin would go to be the greatest father and husband he could be and would make a sanctuary for his home, a meaning for his life, and a blessing for his family.

In the early 2000s, Marvin got his start working on the graphic design for websites and album covers of local artist. Later he would work as the senior software engineer for a plethora of companies. Marvin worked for companies such as Liquid 9, Adknowledge, and The Lead Group. At the time of his death he was employed as a Senior software engineer for Medqor.

His insatiable intellectual curiosity would drive him to read about, learn of, and love the world around him. He was a brilliant polymath who knew something about everything. Marvin was an explorer with no limits and a connoisseur of all things antique. Marvin lived his life expressing the world's beauty through photography and made it his art of choice to show the world how wonderful it really is.
