Marvin L Hollinshed

Marvin Hollinshed, 72, passed away on June 30, 2019 at Research Hospital, in Kansas City MO. He was born on July 22, 1946 in Kansas City KS to Hershel Hollinshed and Alice Hollinshed. He grew up in Kansas City KS. He graduated from Sumner High School class of 1964. Joined the Army in 1965 and served for 2 years. He received the rank of private E1. He began to work for VA Hospital as a house keeping where he worked for 4 years. He married Tommie Hollinshed on December 14, 1970 in Kansas City. They were happily married for 45 years. He was preceded into death by Hershel Hollinshed Sr. (Father) Alice Hollinshed-Verser (Mother) Hershel Hollinshed Jr. (Brother) Leron Hollinshed Sr. (Brother) Marian Hollinshed (Sister).

He is survived by Lashawn Hollinshed (daughter) Marvin Hollinshed (Son) Me’Lani Hollinshed (granddaughter) Rome Hammons(grandson)Tre Hammons (grandson) steps sons Trance Hammons (Carmen) Tony Hammons (Shiela) all kcmo. Alice Dove (Chuck) of Winchester VA, Louise Freman sister (Kevin) of kck, Carolyn Hollinshed (sister) Piper KS Ruby Hollinshed sister (KCK) Charlotte Payne (Sister) San Diego CA.

In lieu of flowers the family request memorial donations be made to the musicians foundation.
