Marvin Watson Jr.

Marvin Watson Jr., 45, left this earth on June 2, 2024 in Chattanooga, TN. He was born on November 24, 1978 in Apple-Valley, CA to Marvin Watson Sr. and Collette Harvey. Marvin Jr. was the oldest of five children. He professed Christ at an early age. He grew up in Chattanooga, TN and later moved to Kansas City, MO where he attended and graduated from Central High School. He was a talented track athlete that earned himself a track scholarship to attend Missouri Valley College in Marshall, MO.

Marvin Jr. was a loving son, father, brother, and uncle. He enjoyed working out and dancing - once he learned how to. He was an incredible artist and could have easily had a career in graphic design. He also had a real passion for cooking and enjoyed making meals for his loved ones. Marvin Jr. will be remembered for his infectious laugh and bright smile. He was an outgoing, sociable person that was a joy to be around. He worked many jobs, but his most recent job was for Volkswagen as a Forklift Operator, where he worked for two years.

Marvin Jr. was preceded in death by his infant son Gavin Watson, his paternal grandparents Thomas and Jean Watson, maternal grandparents George Sr. and Beatrice Brown and many aunts, uncles, and cousins. He leaves to cherish his memory; his father Marvin Watson Sr. (Katerina) of Chattanooga, TN, his mother Collette Byers (Stanley) of KC, MO, daughters Phenix Watson and Zoey Jackson of KC, MO, sisters Consuella Watson of Wichita Falls, TX, Casandra Watson, Christina Watson, and Shari Watson of KC, MO, step sister Shazy French of Chattanooga, TN, godbrother Jeremy Ploeger of Oklahoma City, OK and his three nieces and three nephews Taiylor Hackett-Kemp, Gavin Hackett- Kemp, Khalil Manli, Amirah Manli, Breýlin Watson, and Bailee Miller as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
