Sister Mary Louise (Minter) Brown was born October 4, 1946, In Ansley Louisiana.  She was the 7th child in the union of the late Marvin Maurice Minter Sr. and Mertie Malone Minter.

Mary Louise’s early education was obtained in the Jackson Parish School System. She attended Jackson High School was she was prom queen. She attended Grambling State College, In Grambling, Louisiana where she obtained a degree in Early Childhood Education. She later moved to Kansas City, Missouri and gained employment with St. Vincent’s Catholic School as a teacher, and later became Assistant Director of their daycare.  She became an Early Childhood Instructor assisting individuals in obtaining their certificates.  She later obtained a Master’s degree in Education from the University of Missouri Kansas City (UMKC) and moved into Administration.  She was the director of varies daycares throughout Kansas City.

Mary also was employee part-time with Sears and Roebuck and Montgomery Ward Catalog departments as a seamstress during this time.  She was also Certified Cosmetologist. She was later employed with the Independence school district as the Director of Special Children’s Services for children of abuse and neglect. Where she remained until she retired in 1983.  After years of retirement, she returned to the workforce as a receptionist for Vasquez Commercial Contracting were she remined until her death.

Mary was an Eastern Star at P.M. Davis Lodge No. 207 and she became inactive in the organization due to illness.  Mary had various hobbies which include: Sewing, Fishing, Bowling and other varies crafts.

Mary was united in marriage to Lindburgh Bradley, to this union three children were born: Rodney Bradley, Eric Bradley and Tamika Bradley-Cooper.  She later married Alvin J. Brown who preceded her in death.

Mary is preceded in death by her father, Marvin Maurice Miner Sr. and mother Mertie Malone Minter; Bothers: Marvin Minter Jr., McBride Minter, James Minter, Marion Eugene Minter, and Sisters: Margaret Minters, Bobbye Minter Jones, Wynonia Minter Robinson and Anna Minter Jennings.

She leaves in mourning: 2 sons, Rodney Bradley, Eric Bradley Sr., 1 daughter: Tamika Bradley-Cooper; 5 grandchildren: Krystal Neal (Eric), Brittney Cooper, Kerwin Cooper Jr., Javon Bradley, Eric Bradley Jr., 1 Great grand-daughter: Earain Neal all of Kansas City, Missouri; Sisters: Audrey Minter Freeman of Baltimore, Maryland, Mattie Minter Flanagan and Rena Minter both of Kansas City, Missouri.  A host of nieces and nephews who she loved dearly.
