Mary Gorham

Mary Gorham, 92, (aka Granny) departed this life on November 5, 2020 at Corondelet Place, in Kansas City, Missouri.  She was born on August 10, 1928 in Marshall, Missouri to Sammuel Lawrence Taylor and Bertha Mayo.  Mary grew up in Marshall and Kansas City, Missouri, and graduated from Lincoln High School.  She began working for Myra Rosenberg Litman M.D. as a Governess where she worked for 20+ years.  She retired in 2010 after 60+ years.

She married Rolla Ben Gorham on August 1, 1943 in Marshall Missouri.  They were happily married for 77 years.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Sammuel Lawrence Taylor and Bertha Mayo; her husband, Rolla Ben Gorham; daughters, Lilly Gorham and Jacqueline Dickerson; her sons, Michael Gorham and Kevin Gorham; and her brother, Sammuel Taylor.

Mary leaves to cherish her memories her sons, Rodney Gorham, and Robert Gorham, thirty grandchildren, thirty-one great grandchildren, twenty great-great grandchildren, and a host of other relatives and friends.
