Mary M Sanders

Mary M. Sanders was born on November 22, 1935 to John Earl and Bette Davis in Montrose, Arkansas. She is preceded in death by both parents, her husband, Isiah; her children, Felecia Sand-ers; Marilyn Sanders; and Ivan Sanders, her granddaughters, Jas-mine Arnold; and Evette Clint; her sister, Leola; her brothers, James; Richard; John Earl, Jr; and Samuel Davis. Mary received her formal education in Crossett, Arkansas. Mary married Isiah Sanders on December 17, 1952, and they later moved to Kansas City, Missouri in 1953. Mary was employed in the service industry from 1968 until she retired. Mary was bap-tized, and a faithful member at the Church of the Living God Pil-lar and Ground of the Truth Without Controversy, under the leadership of Pastor Courtney Wells. She was a member of the church’s Executive Board, and a faithful member of the church’s Mother Board. She loved volunteering in the kitchen at church. Everyone loved her lemon cake. She was also called, “Momma Sanders” by those in the neighborhood that grew up with her children. Mary departed this earth and went home to be with the She leaves to cherish her memory, sons, Leonard Kelly (Senora); and Perry Sanders (Kim); daughters, Irma Jackson; Faye Arnold (Roderick); Vicky Sterling; Joyce Williams; and Linda Hill; grand-children, Cheilon Sanders; Marvette Griddine; Jacqueline Arnold; Roderick Arnold II; Tomarro Sterling; Shawnte’ Sterling; Kizzie Blake; Sylvester (Deon) Blake; Antoine Henderson; Talisa All-man; KaEsha Sanders; Douglas Williams; Kareem Williams; Tonesha Hill; Monique Kelly; Bianca Kelly; Leonard Kelly Jr., Leonard Sanders; 40 great-grandchildren, and 17 great-great grandchildren, the Davis Family, Sanders Family, and a host of friends.
