Mary Ann Thompson

Mary A. Thompson was born on January 1, 1941, to the union of Amos and Luvina Thompson in Steele, Missouri. She attended high school in the Kansas City area. She was employed by the Kansas City Royals.

Mary loved to shop, play her video games, and spend time with her family and friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Amos and Luvina Thompson; her brothers, Roy Lee Marshall and Amos Thompson Jr.; and her sister, Jennifer Thompson. She is also preceded in death by her nephews Antonio Thompson, Jason Williams, and Richard Preston III; her granddaughter, D’Asia Toombs; and her special friend, Terry.

Mary leaves to cherish her memory her loving siblings: Maretta Macon, Anna Graves, Marvin Marshall, William Marshall, Melvin Marshall, Jackie Preston, Yuriel Marshall, Rosemary Booker, Tony Thompson, and honorary brother James Thompson.

Mary departed this life on March 15, 2025, and will be truly missed by all who knew her. She leaves to cherish her memory her children: Chenise Jackson, Tiana Thatcher, Tyler Thatcher, and Melvina Jackson.

Her legacy continues through her grandchildren: Terence Kirkwood, Terene Kirkwood, Tereyon Kirkwood, Jordyn Thatcher, Lamiyjan Thatcher, Tanje Thatcher, Carter Douglas, and Keith Williams III. and her  great-grandchildren: Aaliyah, Teanna, and Terence III,, along with a host of relatives and friends who will miss her dearly.
