Maxine Rochelle Brown, 60, was born May 14, 1961, in Kansas City, Missouri to McLawrence Jr. and Catherine Brown.
Maxine confessed her belief and faith in Christ Jesus at an early age. She gave her life to the Lord and joined Spruce St. Matthew Baptist Church. She later joined and was a faithful and dedicated member of Greenwood Missionary Baptist Church, serving as President of the Youth Usher Board.
Maxine was educated in the Kansas City, Missouri public school system graduating from Lincoln High School in 1979. She retired from the Kansas City School Board after 25 years. She later worked for Definitely Learning Child Care Center and Crystal Home Care.
Maxine received her heavenly wings and went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, April 28, 2022.
She was preceded in death by her sister, Sandra Thompson; maternal grandparents, Godfrey and Nellie Davis; paternal grandparents, McLawrence and Louvenia Brown.
Maxine leaves to cherish her memory; her daughter, Tammy Brown; granddaughter, Jazmin (Pooh Pooh) Bishop; parents, McLawrence Jr. and Catherine Brown; brothers, Stanley Brown, McLawrence Brown III (Robin), Wendell Johnson and Richard Lowe; sisters, Amanda Davis, Carolyn Robinson (Steve), Louvenia Carroll (Pastor Mike), Cynthia Vroils, Jackie Johnson and Tracy Campbell (Billy); uncles, Godfrey Davis (Louise), Johnny Davis (Annette), Marland Brown (Judy); aunts, Betty Wright, Joyce McCombs (John), Mary Wright (Steve), and LoEsther Brown; and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins, friends and her beloved dog Binky.
