Maxine W Phillips

Maxine W. Phillips, 88, passed away on January 1, 2019 at her home in Kansas City, Missouri. She was born on July 8, 1930 in Muskogee, Oklahoma to Troy Carson and Ethel Titsworth. She grew up in Paris, Arkansas, and graduated from George Washington High School.

She began working for Myers Optical as a lens inspector where she worked for many years. She married Marvin Phillips on July 13, 1955 in Paris, Arkansas, and were happily for 51 years.

Maxine was preceded into death by her parents; her husband, her son; Larry Carson, her brothers; Matthew Steward, and Curtis Steward, and her sister; Effie Bee Upton.

She is survived by her daughter; Rita Prince; her sons; Gerry Phillips, and Marvin Phillips Jr, her sisters; Laura Gregory, Bonnie Ellingberg, and Ruby Taylor, her brothers; Troy Carson and Alvin Carson, along with 14 grandchildren, 37 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great grandchild on the way.
