Michael Dwayne Long

Michael Dwayne Long, age 62, of Kansas City, Missouri, passed away on October 22, 2025, at Life Care Center of Grandview, Missouri peacefully in his sleep. Michael was born April 22, 1963, to Ralph Keith Long and Barbara Jean (Thompson) Long. He is preceded in death by his parents; his son, Michael D. Long Jr.; his brothers: Paul Long Sr., Jeffrey Long Sr. and William D. Phillips Jr.

Michael earned his education in the Kansas City Missouri School District, where he graduated from Paseo Highschool; Class of 1981. He was employed at various restaurants in the Kansas City area, doing what he loved to do, "COOK".

Michael was also a member of Bales Temple C.O.G.I.C. under the leadership of his pastor, Elder Daryl Long.

He enjoyed fishing, cooking, playing cards, and eating all kinds of different foods.

There are several family and friends that are left to cherish Michael's wonderful memory.  

He will forever be missed.
