Michael Anthony Martin departed this life on January 28, 2018 in Kansas City, Missouri at Truman Medical Center. Michael Anthony Martin, also known as ‘Clock” by so many was born November 21, 1957 in Kansas City, Missouri to the union of Herbert and Wanda Martin. He grew up in the Kansas City area and attended the Kansas City Missouri Public School District, and graduated from Central High School, Class of 1976. Michael was preceded in death by his father and two brothers, Herbert Martin and Lawrence Martin.
Michael was the kind of person that everyone could have fun around and had a personality of gold that shined even more through his hands. He was known for his ability to remodel homes and did a lot work for friends and family. Michael also had a love for dancing and always was the life of the party. When asked where the name “Clock” came from, he replied, “From clocking people in the face.” If you were looking for a good laugh that is what you would have found around him. He enjoyed teaching his nephews what he knew and was not shy about showing others his work.
He leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories his daughter; Katryna Lucas, four grandchildren; Jae’Briel La’Qwan Francis, Ja’Brion La”Qwan Lucas, Jaziah D. Smith-Lucas, and Katryna La’Qwan Lucas.
