Michael P. McCloud Sr.

Michael P. McCloud Sr., 56, passed away on August 23,2026 at University Health in Kansas City, Mo. He was born on March 11, 1970, in Kansas City, MO to Chester L. Saunders and Muriel McCloud.

He grew up in Kansas City, Mo. He went to Southeast High School and transferred to Northeast High School where he graduated. After High School Michael joined Roofers Local Union # 20 in Raytown, Mo., where he trained and earned his Roofing certification and was a 25-year member. Michael was a hard worker and always had more than one job. He was a dedicated worker part time for Walmart and he worked as a Security Officer at many locations.

He was a member of Miracle Temple Christian Center where he used to sing in the choir. Michael enjoyed helping others, whether he was working on your car or helping you fix something around the house. He was truly a jack of all trades. He married LaTrice Carter July 11, 1991, and to that union Michael McCloud Jr was born. He remarried Avis Watson on September 11, 2004, and to that union Micah and Machi McCloud were born. His current life partner is Ebony Jones and to that union Donovan Jones was born.

He was preceded into death by his father, Willie Lee Anderson; his Grandparents: Medill and Ora Bufford, Willie Williams and Isadora Smith; Grandfather, Albert McCloud Sr; Grandmother. Opal Saunders; his uncles: Arthur Lee Anderson, Albert McCloud Jr., Charles Holbert, Thomas Rivers and Jonathan McCloud; his aunts: Irene Richardson, Brenda Simmons, Willie Mae Williams and Paulette “Moochie” Marie Anderson; his wife, LaTrice McCloud; and his brother, Willie Lonnell Anderson Sr.

He is survived by his mother, Muriel Anderson; father, Chester Saunders (Eena); his life partner, Ebony Jones; his brothers: Walter McCloud (LeShonda), Richard Anderson (Sierra), Randy Anderson (Joy) and Sean Saunders; his sisters: Tamyra Goode (Edward), Monica Dixon (Waymon) and Monica Saunders; his goddaughters: Carliscia and Clarisa Block; and his children: Michael McCloud Jr., Micah McCloud, Machi McCloud and Donovan Jones, and a host of nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.
