Michael A Nelson

Michael was born September 24, 1954 in Kansas City, MO to Will Nelson and Gladys Oliver.

Michael passed away peacefully at his home after a full and a happy life.

He received his education in the Kansas City School District. He entered the military after finishing school and served for several years.

After being Honorably Discharged Michael began his career with the Kansas City Area Transportation Authority as a bus operator for 30 years before retiring in April of 2017.

Michael is survived by his wife Terri Nelson, his daughter Michaela Nelson, his sons Michael Nelson II (Michelle), Antjuan Moore (Tracey), Dy'Lan Moore, LaTerrance Wade, his brother Robert Nelson, his sisters Kim Oliver and Linda Parker, 10 grandchildren; Mackenzie, Uriah, Camille, Harris, De'Lanie, E'Lan, Aidan, Shayla, Teizhjahn and Ashton and a host of nieces and nephews. He also leaves to mourn his best friend Don Wintz.

Michael was preceded in death by his mother Gladys Oliver, his sisters Venus Nelson, Marilyn Riley, and Angela Oliver and his brothers Richard Nelson, Gregory Nelson and Anthony Nelson.
