Michael James Silas

Michael James Silas transitioned from this earthly life, to his heavenly home on May 11, 2018. He was born on February 10, 1955 to Margo Lampkin, and Michael Silas Sr. Michael was 23, and was the youngest of 6 children.

He graduated from Waverly High School, and after attending high school, he worked as a forklift operator at Associated Wholesale Grocers. Michael loved his family, children, and his friends. When Michael was around, he uplifted everyone’s spirit with his smile and laughter. He was the pride and joy of our life. Michael was an inspiration to all who knew him. He also always had a smile on his face and a joke on his lips. All who knew Michael loved him. Michael gave his life to Jesus Christ and was attending House of refuge. He was our shining star and will forever be in our memories.

He is preceded in death by his daughter; Micah Janae Silas, father; Michael Silas Sr., uncle; Jonathan Silas, aunt; Talisa Silas, grandmothers; Estella Silas and Bernie Bryant.

Here to cherish is fond memories are his mother; Margo Lampkin, step-father; Jonas Lampkin, his brothers; Michael Lampkins, Jalen Cooks, sisters; Ela Bartley, Jonice Dickerson, Talisa Silas, Yonnie Silas, his sons; Michael Silas Jr., Mi’Kieth Silas, Mi’Keem Silas, Z’mir Colman, his daughter; Maria Silas, his fiancé; Marshia Coppage, and his special brothers; London Grayson, Darnell Grayson Jr., and Charles Carter Jr.
